Trackster Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 20, 2026
Information we handle
Trackster is a business management app. You choose what business information to enter, which may include:
- customer names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses;
- job records and work-timer information;
- invoices and estimates;
- expenses, payments, and imported bank transactions;
- time entries, equipment and maintenance records, and schedule entries; and
- drive routes and mileage logs.
Trackster does not connect to your bank accounts and does not track bank account numbers or login credentials. If you import a bank CSV file, only the transactions you choose to import are used; imported rows may include the running balance shown in your CSV, and imported transactions sync to your business's cloud account like other business records.
Trackster also uses your email address to create and protect your account.
How information is used
We use this information only to provide the features you choose to use. That includes keeping your business records, syncing them through your business's shared cloud account — everyone signed in to the account shares the same dataset — detecting job-site visits, tracking drives, and sending invoices or other email you compose.
Firebase Analytics records app events such as job logged, invoice created, and drive logged, tied to a random app identifier rather than your name or account. These events help us understand whether app features are working and do not include personal data such as names, addresses, or amounts.
Precise location and background use
If you turn on automatic job-site detection or drive tracking, Trackster uses your device's precise location. Location may be used in the background while those features are enabled.
- Job-site detection: Trackster uses geofences around customer addresses to recognize when you have been at a job site for about 10 minutes and start a work timer.
- Drive tracking: Trackster uses location to create mileage and drive records.
Your location information stays in the app's records and, when cloud sync is enabled, in your business's shared synced account. It is not sold or shared with advertisers.
Device permissions
Trackster requests the following device permissions, each tied to a feature you choose to use:
- Activity recognition: detects when you start driving so mileage tracking can begin automatically.
- Bluetooth and connected devices: syncs finished jobs from a paired Garmin watch.
- Calendar: writes your route plan and finished mows to the device calendar you choose (which may sync to Google Calendar).
- Notifications: shows the persistent job-timer notification and sends invoice and reminder alerts.
Job photos stay on your device
Job photos you take in Trackster are stored only on your device. Trackster does not upload or cloud-sync those photos.
Contacts and email
Contacts. Trackster reads your phone contacts only when you tap the contact-import feature. This lets you choose contact details to add to a customer record.
Email. Trackster can send invoices through your own Gmail account. If you use this feature, you enter a Gmail app password in Settings. The email feature is used only to send messages you compose and choose to send.
When information is shared
Trackster does not sell personal data, show advertising, or share information with advertisers. Information is shared only with service providers needed to run the features you use:
- Google Firebase Firestore provides cloud sync for your business's shared account, and Firebase Analytics records app feature events.
- Gmail sends email you compose when you choose to use Trackster's email feature.
- Stripe processes payment links you create for customers. Payment details are handled by Stripe under its own terms and privacy practices.
Job share links. If you share a job's “Where's My Guy” link with a customer, that page is a public web page: anyone with the link can open it without signing in. Shared pages show first names only.
Your business data is yours. It is not sold to anyone.
Storage and security
Your business records are stored in the app and synced through Google Firebase Firestore to your business's shared cloud account. Everyone who signs in to that account shares the same dataset — there is no per-person separation of business records in the cloud. Only share the sign-in with people you trust.
No system can guarantee perfect security. Use a strong, unique password and keep access to your device and Gmail app password secure.
Your choices and deletion
You control whether to use optional features such as background location, drive tracking, contact import, cloud sync, and Gmail sending. Device permissions can also be changed in your device settings, although turning off a permission may stop the related feature from working.
To delete your information, use the deletion screen in the app, which sends a deletion request to tracksterllc.team@gmail.com. We complete deletion requests and confirm by email once done. You can also ask a privacy question by emailing the same address.
Data retention
Synced business records are kept while your account is active. When you request deletion as described above, your synced records are deleted and we confirm by email once complete.
Children
Trackster is a business management app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If Trackster's data practices change, this policy will be updated so it continues to describe how the app handles information.
